Established in 1994, Whitfords Rainbow Toy Library has helped hundreds of children play and learn in their early years. The Whitfords Rainbow Toy Library is a voluntary organisation run by the toy library members, and provides a wide range of toys, games, ride-ons, puzzles, dress ups, CDs and parent resources.

Cost
Yearly
The cost is $70.00 per calendar year, or $35.00 if you join after 30 June. The membership is from January to December each year and members have the following obligations: attendance at rostered borrowing sessions, the annual stocktake and the Annual General Meeting.
Short term
The cost is $40.00 plus a $100 cash deposit. The membership is for four weeks only and the borrowing rules for the number of toys you are allowed to borrow is the same as the yearly membership. There are no obligations. This membership is aimed at people who have children visiting for a short period of time, such as grandchildren visiting grandparents for the holidays.

Opening hours
Saturday: 9am to 11am (excluding public holiday weekends)
Members should arrive at least 30 minutes before closing time if they would like to borrow new toys.
Over the Christmas/New Year period, the toy library closes for a few weeks. Members can borrow toys before closure and return them when the toy library re-opens in January, provided their membership fees have been paid for the following year.
The toy library is also closed for the Annual General Meeting in February, and the annual stocktake weekend in August.
