The Hills Community Toy Library carries a very large range of excellent toys and games, catering for children from six months to seven years. There is a wide selection of games that older children, up to ten, love to use. The toys are selected to provide new challenges and experiences. Toys are continually updated, so every visit to the Toy Library can provide the children with new toys they may not have played with or seen before.

For members only, there is a wonderful selection of toys that are available for weekend hire suitable for children’s parties. There also are books with how to make beautiful birthday cakes and games for that special day. This is always in great demand. Bookings are made through the Party Pack coordinator.

Ordinary Family Membership
Families can borrow one toy for each family member (including adults) or a minimum of four toys (whichever is the greater) for two weeks. Toys can be returned or extended during opening hours.
A small fine applies for toys that have not been returned on time or that are damaged. A reservation system is available for many of our larger or more popular toys.
Present fee is $60.00
Volunteer Membership
The same benefits apply to this membership as the Ordinary membership. However, a reduced rate is given as it is expected that the following tasks be completed voluntarily: Two sessions of Rostered shift duty at the Toy Library, per school term for a yea, as well as one of the following:
- Assist at one session during January stocktake, or
- Assist with the Baby Gear Sale in February,
- Clean ten toys per school term
Present Fee is $35.00
Special Membership
This is determined by the Management Committee. There are times when local grandparents have their grandchildren visiting from overseas or interstate. On other occasions there might be a family that is in financial difficulty, their membership will also be at the discretion of the Management Committee as it is felt that no child in the area should be disadvantaged because of the family’s financial situation. Often in this later situation the family will give of their time and expertise to compensate their inability to pay.

Sunday: 10.30am – 12pm
Open during school terms and during the school holidays on Sundays only. This does not include the long Christmas holidays.
