Just minutes from the heart of the city, Perth Zoo provides a beautiful natural haven. As an ‘oasis’ within the city, the Zoo attracts numerous species of wild birds. The animal collection is diverse, comprising about 170 species and nearly 1200 animals. Modern exhibits emphasise and encourage natural animal behaviours.
Activities include:
A wide range of animal species from all over the world- A series of special walks, talks and presentation running daily throughout summer
- Zebra car tours -1 hour guided tour around the zoo (additional $4.00 fee)
- A range of events being held over the summer including concerts, story time, and lectures (extra cost)
- ‘Close encounters’ A range of more up close and hands on zoo experiences (extra cost)

- Short-stay parking is available on the streets surrounding Perth Zoo
- Long-stay parking (1hr to all day) is available in three parking lots:
- opposite the Zoo (Cnr Labouchere & Richardson Rds) PAID by the hour
- next to the Zoo (off Labouchere Road) PAID by the hour
- next to the Zoo (off Mill Point Road) PAID per park
Paths and walkways are wheel chair and stroller friendly
